The Professional Plastic Restoration System works with circular polishers and with air, electric and cordless power drills. In just a few minutes plastic surfaces can be polished and restored to like new condition. This kit includes one 4 oz. Heavy-Cut Plastic Polish, one 4oz. Light-Cut Plastic Polish, one 4oz. Polish, one 4oz. Final Polish, one 3 7/8” rotary backing plate, one drill adapter, one 3.5 Inch Orange CCS Foam Cutting Pad and one 3.5 Inch White CCS Foam Polishing Pad. 4 oz. Step 1 Heavy-Cut Plastic Polish Fast-cutting abrasives suspended in a thick, lubricating polishing lotion remove 600 grit or finer scratches. Heavy-Cut Polish leaves a medium gloss and prepares the surface for further polishing. Use with Orange CCS Foam Cutting Pad. 4oz. Step 2 Light-Cut Plastic Polish Fine abrasives and cleaners remove 800-2000 grit or finer scratches, hairline scratches, paint and overspray stains and produces a high gloss finish. Use with Orange CCS Foam Cutting Pad. 4oz. Step 3 Polish Ultra-fine abrasives and mild cleaners restore a very high gloss to plastic surfaces. Remove 2000 grit or finer scratches, fine hairline scratches and swirls. Use with White CCS Foam Polishing Pad. 4 oz. Step 4 Final Polish Achieve a high gloss finish, remove very fine swirls and restore optical clarity with Final Polish. Use on a regular basis for routine maintenance to keep plastic surfaces looking new. Use with Orange CCS Foam Cutting Pad. 3 7/8 inch rotary backing plate This backing plate screws directly onto a rotary polisher, such as the Makita 9227C. Hook and loop system enables foam pads to attach to the backing plate. Drill Adapter Use this adapter to use the included backing plate on your air, electric or cordless drill. 3.5 Inch Orange CCS Foam Cutting Pad Use for cutting and removal of deeper imperfections. Primarily used with PP-1, PP-2 and removal of 600 grit sanding marks. 3.5 Inch White CCS Foam Polishing Pad Used for high gloss polishing and swirl removal. Primarily used with PP-3 and PP-4 polishes. Please Note: The Professional Plastic Restoration System is for machine use. Applying these products by hand will not produce satisfactory results. Depending upon the severity of the defect in the surface of the plastic that you are working on, you may elect to work with light abrasive wet sand papers to remove deep imperfections prior to polishing with the Professional Plastic Restoration System. Over-aggressive use of wet sand papers will quickly remove material and possibly create a weakness or distortion in the surface. The Professional Plastic Restoration System has the ability to removing 600 grit and finer sanding marks. Please note: This kit is not intended to remove large chips or nicks in plastic. Damaged areas may be repaired if substructure has not been penetrated. For best results, clean and dry foam pads between each step. Chips, very deep scratches and gouges : Begin with step #1. Deep scratches: Begin with step #2. Minor scratches: Begin with step #2. If scratch persists, you may choose to wet sand very lightly with water-soaked 600 grit wet sand paper and then repeat step #2. Hairline scratches: Begin with step #3 Swirls: Begin with step #5 Before you begin, clean the area that you will be working on with plastic cleaner and a microfiber towel to remove dirt and other loose contaminants.
