Bug & Tar Heavy Duty Car Wash Shampoo is formulated as a pre-wash concentrate to remove dried, squashed bugs from windshields, grilles, hoods, bumpers and headlights without harming your paint. Because of their tough exoskeletons and corrosive body fluids, splattered insects form a bond with your paint which means after washing marks are still left. The last thing you want to do is use a rough brush or mitts to remove them as this only induces more damage. Bug & Tar Heavy Duty Car Wash Shampoo will remove these bugs with ease along with other fluids, oil and tar spots.

Concentrated
Bug & Tar Heavy Duty Car Wash Shampoo is a multi-surface safe concentrated formula. Three caps full of Bug & Tar Heavy Duty Car Wash Shampoo is enough to make a gallon of wash liquid. This product can also be diluted to a lesser amount and sprayed directly onto specific areas such as the bonnet, lower half of the car and wheels, left for about 30 seconds then hosed down, making the whole wash process much easier.

Directions:

Use in shade and on cold surface
Concentrated Product, always dilute correctly
Always start by washing tires and rims first, do not use the same tire water on your paint
Mix 3 Caps into 1 gallon of clean water in a clean wash bucket
Start by rinsing vehicle
Wash vehicle for the top down, rinsing often as you finish sections of the vehicle
On hotter days, do not allow soapy water to dry on your paint
Use a final rinse of free-flowing water (nozzle off the hose) allowing the water to sheet off the car

Works extremely well. Product itself is confusing.

They market this as a car wash/shampoo when it is most certainly not - I tried to use this as a traditional soap and it produced almost no suds. This is most effective when diluted it a spray bottle and used with the mesh bug sponge side of a wash mitt.

Excellent Product

I use this product as a pre-treatment. After rinsing down the vehicle, i spray a dilluted amount onto buggy areas, let sit for about 30 seconds to a minute then use my regular wash MIT and wipe away the dead bugs. Works great on bugs but not as well on tar.
For Tar, I suggest CarPro TarX.
